Barnaby's straw house

Barnaby wanted to finish quickly so he could nap. He stacked a giant pile of golden straw, tied it together, and by lunchtime his house was done — Zzz.

Pip's stick house

Pip wanted to finish quickly so he could play his fiddle. He nailed dropped branches and twigs together, then danced a merry tune.

Penny's brick house

Penny knew a hungry wolf lived nearby. She carried heavy red bricks up the hill, mixed thick grey mortar, and by sunset her strong brick house was complete.

Huff and puff!

The Big Bad Wolf crept up and shouted, "Little pig, let me in!" He huffed, and he puffed, and he blew the straw house away — WHOOSH! Then he stomped to the stick house, huffed even harder, and the sticks came tumbling down — CRASH!

Down the chimney — SPLASH!

The brick house didn't budge. So the wolf climbed onto the roof and slid down the chimney — SPLASH! — right into a pot of hot water, and away he ran, never to bother the pigs again.
